I looked at a few tiny archipelagos and space can definitely be a problem. 60% water looks good though. Most of the islands are conected by one tile bridges.

Also, how about 2 settlers and 4 workers. That way you can use them or join them to the cities. Remember though that on emperor only one citizen is content.

    I'll take England.

We could always just bump up to a Small map. That way we'd be sure everyone would have substantial land to settle. But it looks like we're all taking seafaring civs, so maybe land isn't as important.

I'll be happy with whatever settler/worker combo is selected. I've never played an accellerated start like this, so it'll all be new fun for me.

Our civ choices leave lots of techs left to discover and not much to trade. Enjoy the game guys.

Its just a random map. I didn't get it checked, but I see I'm in last place so you all must be better off than me.

my apologies for the delay. I copied my disk to take to work so that I could play at lunch, but apparently the game is too smart. I'll play as soon as I get home today.

So much for being allowed to make a backup copy. Anyone know how I can make a copy that will work? Not trying to pirate, just make it more convenient.

I don't think there is any way to get around keeping the game cd with you.
