I think PTW is supposed to work with the C3C CD, actually.

I only have C3C, no PTW and it works for me...

Maybe you have to install PTW from the C3C CD for it to work.

snoopy finally sat me down and explained it like I were a 2 year old. when that didn't work, he tried one year old. then, I got it

just don't click on the ptw icon any more!

(I'm loading the save in 3c3 and playing as normal. Sounds like others do this all the time?)

If you loaded the game with Conquests, it has been transformed to be a C3C game. This is irreversible, and it wouldn't be a PTW Classics game anymore. I wouldn't want to convert it to Conquests (for reasons everybody knows). I'd prefer to wait a few days.
