Ok - I will start it up. I will also flip j and beta as per the suggestion above.

    Revised play order:

    beta
    Sir Ralph
    McMeadows
    sabrewolf
    alexman
    jshler

And oh yes - I will assign the civs randomly with a six-side die.

It is a PTW. And it is NOT accel production.

Here are the civs - as assigned by the six-sided white cube:

      beta ...... Babylon
      Sir Ralph .... Carthage
      McMeadows ..... Rome
      sabrewolf .... Persia
      alexman ..... Greece
      jshler ...... Egypt

The map is small, 70% water, all other settings normal. Difficulty is Emperor with restless barbarians.

The first save is through to Sir Ralph.

I can live with my start. (But not well. )

Sheesh ... all the aggressiveness against accel production. Have to say my best PBEMs so far are the accel production ones, or at least the most fun ones.

Anywho, I do indeed have a PTW editor, as far as I can tell anyways, but it looks like you guys have started it up already, so have fun. Next time shoot me an email and i'd set it up for you gladly. Just stopped reading the posts when Zargon was going to set it up.

My start is alright. Nothing great, but not too shabby.

          Watch out, Hannibal ante portas.

I need the email address of McMeadows. Can't send the save otherwise (won't post the first turn publicly, not that I wouldn't trust you, but it's a principle ). PM to him underway.

thanx for the reminder. I had forgotten about this game and missed out on Beta's last PM
But no worries. sent a PM to Sir Ralph with my address and I'll get his mail out of the junkmail right now. I'll need Sabre's e-mailaddress though...

                  no worries... received
Found the address of Sabre in the iron civer thread. Sent it on to him...

Saw Troy last night. Hard to take a position for a good vs evil idea. I think I'm in favour of Troy in the end. Hector was an honourable man, Achilles a bit too arrogant. Story was off course well know so not that strong, but it's a big spectacle to watch. A good setting for a classical kick off.
By accident I started the game in C3C. I have been punished with a more unfavourable first turn in PTW. Not the same roll of dice obviously.

McM of Rome salutes you all...

In response to popular demand, i've added

                              jshelruss at yahoo dot com

as a game email address that actually delivers files with some degree of speed and reliability.

Damn. I was so hoping someone would veto this start. Oh well.

Beta the Babylonian Builder gets to work.

(man - I don't think I have ever spent this much time contemplating the initial city site before. )

                                To Sir Ralph.
