Arrrgggh! I don't have my PTW editor anymore, apparently, and I loaned my disk to a friend a while back and haven't gotten it back yet. Sorry guys I think you'll need to find someone else to set it up Unless you don't mind it being in Conquests
I make movies. Come check 'em out.

Unfortunate, but let's stick to the original mandate. I'm with Sir.

Conquests isn't ripe for MP yet (neither is it for SP, obviously, with the huge step backwards the C3C AI is). It's a patching and upgrading mess. I just can't be bothered with multiple installations and permanent switching, only because different PBEMs are at different patch levels. I gave away all my Conquests PBEMs, which I had started in good faith, that the game gets fixed within weeks. Sorry guys, no Conquests for me.

IMO Conquests is far better for MP (more balanced), and PTW is better for SP (because of the AI).

Also, I would bet anything that the final patch will support 1.22 saves, so there would be no upgrading issues if we started a 1.22 game.

However, this game was clearly stated as a PTW game, so we should stick to that.

i agree that the AI has a lot of flaws that PTW had solved. but as we're not playing with the AI, that doesn't matter.

as for the patches: there was a chaos, now there's a very simple answer: 1.22. afaik, most PBEMs have switched to 1.22, which makes sence - 1.15 can even be loaded in SP!

but as alexman said: title = PTW classics, so it's clear

That's now. Let the next patch be released, and the mess begins. Six players, most of them involved in other PBEMs. When will the new patch be applied? When all players in all games agreed to switch? I have seen games die for that reason. Not fun.

                    Bump!

It can't possibly be that nobody has a PTW editor anymore. Maybe snoopy369?

I can see this will be a fast game.

Forget the map checking. Start a random map and give each one of us the chance to request a restart after 2 turns, as they do in the C3C Tournament.

This is a no brainer -- i agree complely. And if I see alexman with multiple tiles of bonus food again, it's start over time
