Sorry R2D I guess I had worked on that question in another thread.

In PBEM I think that those rules are one of the few ways to make the expense of embassies worthwhile. Otherwise there is not much reason to build them.

However, this being pure elimination, are we worried about politics and diplomacy? I await input from my august opponents.

As for the issues, I would refer you to my arguments in the other thread. I think some of these restrictions are excessively restrictive and will be more hassle in practice than they're worth.

That said, if you all want them, I'll live.

Other than my opinion on the unfortunate goto bug already posted, I generally agree with the limitation on out of game discourse, largely for the reasons MFCamillus stated above. There are methods of doing these in game, so use them. Of course, for things not available in game, I support allowing them assuming that related in-game options are available tech-wise (ie embassy generally).
