about the city revolts: that's a problem i sometimes get in PBEMs. if the city grows, you usually have a turn after growing, before revolts start (time to micromanage). but here sometimes it comes as soon as the city grows. i have no idea what one can do against it... probably not much.
just wanted to tell you if you have similar problems...
