well, there are no big advantages from the technical point of view.
ok, you can upload a custom avatar (and a larger one) and can store a few PMs more, but nothing really grandious.

i mainly did it to support apolyton. all the interesting stuff i learnt, all the insights into the game, etc. danQ and markG deserve some support

It gets rid of the pesky adverts and pop-ups as well, that's why I went Plus..

I use the alta vista toolbar and that seems to have taken care of 99% f those pesky po-ups.

Besides PBEM's i very seldom post and normally don't read to many forums.

ok, i forgot that, because with mozilla i can shut off all popup ads anyway and i don't even notice banners anymore :P

yep, they are the founders of apolyton. you see markg posting here and there, but i've only very seldom seen danQ. maybe he's just a myth?

I'm using Firefox and will never go back to IE. I also use
Ad-aware to take care of popups. Popups are only things I read about now, not experience.
