Fascinating reading though, that Guns, Germs and Steel. I'm only up to the part about the Aztecs and Incas losing their kings to miniscule Spanish expeditions, but brilliant analysis!

Aquaman PMed me his request. Since the main point of planned absence notification is to let the other players know not to expect the turn, I think we should just keep all freeze requests in the tracking thread from now on (unless anyone is too shy...)
It looks like young Mr. the Scot is just asking for a trip to the principal's office...
