maybe we can get ourselves a few turns in then (when Arnelos logs in in a half hour or hour probably based on previous estimation)

Sorry mates, I forgot to close the Apolyton website before I went to bed and slept in a little. Played the turn a while ago. Sorry CM, only just noticed you prefered your saves on a different account. Next turn will be on the aol one.. I'll be online the next few hours..

alexman - I suggest we use the 'regular' set of guidelines being developed in the topped info thread. It includes no out-of-game contact until contact is made in game. And no map trading of any sort until you can actually trade maps in game.

The tougher discussion is the exploits list. And given the debate now going on in the ptwdg forum - it is probably best we agree to a set. There was a controversial finish to a pbem game that H_E and vondrcak were both in that involved ship chaining. Both agree that it would have been best if all had agreed in advance as to what was considered OK, and what wasn't.

There was considerable discussion created by the list Rommel2D had put together for the recent pbem tourney as well.

Guess I need to get cracking on my topped thread. I would like to have a standard set of Poly pbem guidelines, along with a list of exploits where at a minimum, players starting up a pbem game could agree to them, or some subset of them.

                    on to Alexman
and I agree ... tho I think there should be a "base set" which basically everyone agrees to 100% of the time (like no contact out of game before in game) that would have to be explicitly agreed not to use (ie, the assumption would be that ALL games would include the base set of rules) and then an "expanded set" that you could agree to if you want but are not agreed to by default.
