Naval PBEM - Turn Thread 4

  • This game has gotten a boring monster. I make industrial techs easily in 4 turns, still with a solid 600-800 gold surplus, and I'm sure you have your economies in a similar state. Say what you want, but that is not civ. The map is too big, too, even more since it's a naval game and ships are slow compared to trains anyway. The slight increase of ship movement doesn't make up for this fact at all.

    I do have a WW of about 20% in my biggest cities, which is completely irrelevant, since WLTKD does nothing in this game (no corruption) and I have enough own luxuries to survive even a theoretical boycott unharmed. I could reduce it by withdrawing my troops from your stolen island, since ADG is giving away his cities anyway and it doesn't have the slightest strategical importance, but this would make this game even more boring.

    I'd say we end it.

      • Ok. I have to agree with some of your points SR. I will concede this game on the grounds that it is not realistic.

        • Yes, it is big and boring.
          The only assault against me was cancelled only 5 or tutns later and I have lost almost nothing although my defenses were down.
