On the official site (www.civ3.com) it has seperate patches for european versions of the game. I think there is a compatibility issue, yes.

The different versions usually just change the text files. I wouldn't think that would cause your problems.(\__/)

My brother, a friend an me we all are in the dark about how to host. We're not all that happy we now all have broad band and Conquests, but still can't play together over the net.
I haven't seen any real solutions sofar. Civ is a great game, but I'm a bit dissapointed playing online is taking so much effort.don't worry about things you have no influence on...Comment
