Technical difficulties. BigFree and I just haven't managed to hook up yet

6 feet of snow will not be accepted as an excuse. Rather it should be an encouragement to take the day off and play civ.

Should this be scrapped so we can move on?

I'd like to start a tournament with reliable players in seeded positions and newer or unknown players grouped so that exactly this sort of thing does not happen again.

I'm having a hard time picking who should be considered reliable players from this lot. Reliable would be that you show up and get your games played in a reasonable time frame.

I know what you mean nye. But sometimes people are just on opposite shedules and they also know they need to spend a good 3 hours when they are going to play. I will continue to try and hook up with Taian. I try to hang out in the #apolyton chat room.

These games can last a long time, Shogun Gunner and I have a good 6 hours of play into it. It is not like we haven't spent time playing. Perhaps a scenario should be put together that will balance the game between both players and a time limit set up in the game. When the play time limit is met, then a VP count is mad and the winner is establisted.

Based on the position that Shogun Gunner and I have in the game, we still have a good 4 to 6 hours before we will know the outcome.

Also I beleive that both Shogun Gunner and I are reliable players, the game we are playing is just taking a long time.
