Islands in the Stream - Turn Thread 2

I'd like random landmass with 70% water. Small or Standard map? I'd prefer standard but small is ok too.

Another option, if we can wait a couple of days...
I can get a map maker to generate a map.

Say...
Archipelago world, but he then he adds some more land around the starting positions.
We end up with 2 equal continents (with 2 players on each continent)
Some islands
And some 1 or 2 tile islands that we can use to hop to each continent ?


That will ensure no-one has a 6 month isolated start.
And 3 players are not crammed onto the one landmass no bigger than my backyard.

Sounds like a good plan. Im all for someone tweaking it to improve it, as long as the randomness isn't too lost. I look forward to facing those berserks, mean mofos in the middle ages conquest.

OK - Is this the sort of game we are talking about ?

This is an Archipelago world with 70% water.

It took me about 2 minutes in the editor, to give the top central start and the central east start a little more land.

And also to shave off some land from the other two.

I did not touch the resource allocation. Just the land.



If this is what we want, I will get a map maker to set up a game.
If you want more defined continents & less islands, or more water & smaller islands, or an island each, or whatever, just speak up.

Awww... That has made this game very interesting from the beginning. How about 4 of us on a small island. lol

Yep, thats the right idea.

The person setting up that they cover up the map in the bottom right hand corner so they don't see the land.

I just took a random 70% water setting and played around with the land a bit so you have some room. I had a look at your current game and this should have more room

(I would love to play a game like the current one you are playing though )

edit: if you want something different, don't feel you have to use this one. I just whipped it up in a couple minutes.
