hmmm not much activity here in multiplaying, does that mean civ 3 is not good for mp?? i just got given the ptw expansion pack and was hoping to find a hive of activity and games. but alas no such luck

try the pbem forum, if that's your cup. much more popular than the simul mode and turnless, would seem. Especially after what those modes were like at release and the nature of civ, not a suprise.

Some of us still do have a great time playing multiplayer. I am one of them and play it weekly at the least (one to one btw). But I do agree it is hard to find opponents. Especially during summertime. I myself just returned from holiday and am quite busy the coming month with the games that I still have running. But Docker, why don't you accept the invitation of Louisr and find out for yourself?

i never enjoyed civ 2 one on ones, much prefered multi players 4-7 was good . so i dont think i would enjoy a one on one in civ 3. my greatest enjoyment from civ always came from the interaction , not necessarily in winnning

It´s perfect for me. In fact I think I´ll prefer one on one to Pbem, which looks kinda slow to me.

I´d prefer Germans. Style of play... I don´t mind, as I haven´t played before and I´m open to anything.
About time... What´s your time? You should do like me: Go to control panel up there, then click Edit Options and choose your time set (mine is GMT+1). This way we´ll know what time is best to play

No problem. I think turnless might work,then maybe the time is irrevelant,I prefer Romans.I am going to read directions on turnless and get back to you.
