Have any of you seen a random railroaded square long before the industrial age that did not once have a city on it? I'm aware that, in rare cases, after a city is razed, even before the industrial age, the square that previously had a city on it will show railroad. Have you seen this happen in a square that did not once contain a city?

We've just seen this in one of the games played on the CIV3PTW League. It caused quite a controversy.WarningU2 Member of CIvilization Players Multiplayer League

I've always seen a railroad where nobody has built one in the place occupied by a colony, especially when there were 2 colonies on adjacent squares. In that case, the 2 squares act as if they are connected by railroad, even if the colonies are still there. When the colony is destroyed for whatever reason, the square it used to occupy always has a railroad on it, at least it does in my games. I have verified this when one of my colonies was destroyed by an enemy or assimilated by my own empire.
I have observed the railroad in the place of a razed city only in industrial times, after getting railroads. I have noticed this especially when razing cities belonging to civs that didn't have railroads yet.The monkeys are listening.
