  • What is Precision Bombing ?

With Stealth Bombers, one has the option of "precision bombing." I can find that explained no where in either the original or PtW manual. Can someone tell me what it is ?

    Thanks.

It requires a specific tech, which is at the end of the modern era. It allows stealth bombers to attack specific targets, like barracks, temples, cathedrals...

As far as I know Precision bombers only attack improvements at random, (i.e. if the bombing is succesful you are guaranteed to hit an improvement instead of damaging the defending unit or causing population loss)

Is there a way to actually select the improvement you want to destroy?

I have no idea how to target. And if it ONLY targets civilian improvements, and not military targets, I don't think I would do it anyway. Don't you want to take the city relatively intact and 'precision target' the enemy units instead?

Precision bombing takes away the buildings you want to keep instead of killing the enemy troops or the Untermench civilians you want to get rid of. I never use it.

Well, I never use it anyway. It's too far to the end of the knowledge chain, and by the first years of the modern era my victory/defeat is almost secured.
