  • In Game Music

Like all strategy games, the music is very important because you play it for hours on end. I would like to see Firaxis put some good music in the game. If they want, they could hire an orchestra or a band (like U2 or something) and then have them make the music. Im sorry, but that Tenochitilan song in Civ2 was the most annoying one and it seemed like it was the only one which was ever playing

If Firaxis hired U2, I'd buy the game solely for the music, I'm a bigger U2 fan then I am civilization fan (I know that's heresy around here, but its the truth). I'd rather though the music remain instrumental, playing a game over a few hours at a time, I don't want to hear the same songs over and over again, while inistrumental stuff, if not overbearing, like say the Star Wars theme (its great music, but not fitting to 3000BC when all I'm doing is moving settlers around) Music should be a part of the game, but with winamp going, its not that important to me, although in times of war, I'd love to see some dynamic changing to some militiristic songs. I used to reload save games when I go to war just to keep the drumbeat music instead of as you mentioned, that god-awful Technoticlian (oh screw it, i'll never spell that right) song.
