  • How the Official Civ3 SHOULD be!

Ooops, I meant 'How the Official Civ3 SITE Should be'. Doh! :embarrased:

    http://moo3.quicksilver.com

Take notice of the FAQ and Official Comments! You have just about ALL the information about the game there, including what numbers are involved, etc. It is like a strategy guide before the game is made!

Oh, and Firaxis, you mind stealing some stuff from Moo3... they have REALLY good ideas (ie, leaders, combat).

Actually, Civ2 borrowed heavily from MoO2. As far as the site goes, Firaxis has never put much stock in spending time on one...perhaps that day will come?

      Hopefully, yin..

I spent over 5 hours reading everything on that site, and now I anticipate Moo3 more than Civ3 (heresy, I know )... I just got psyched reading the internal workings of the game, with number charts, etc.

One thing Yin... how could Civ2 borrow from Moo2, when Civ2 came out in 1996 and Moo2 came out in 1998?

Ah, I guess it was MoO, then. But if you read the end of the Civ2 manual, you can get all the details...now that I think about it, though, that might be the back of the SMAC manual...hmmm....do you have all the manuals, Imran? Can you check for me? I give all my games away (usually) as soon as I know I'll never play them again).

SMAC could be influenced by Moo2, definetly. All my manuals though are home, and I'm at school... so, not until next week (Spring Break... this is supposed to be spring?).

Hehe, yeah, that looks like a pretty cool site.

They're running background stories like Firaxis did for SMAC. That's something which definately draws one into a game.

errr, Yin, I just read the back of both my civ2 and AC manuals (designer's notes, where they talk about the evolution of the game.) and I'm afraid I can't find any reference to any version of MoO.

give me a better idea where to look?

I just checked out the MOO3 site and tried to access the link to the FAQ, but it appears to be a dead end. Anyone have a fresh link to the MOO3 FAQ?

Sorry, that this is kindof off this thread's topic.
