Don't have the answer, but I think it is safe to say: (1) the ordinary free techs for scientific civs are Monotheism, Nationalism, and Rocektry; and (2) for some unknown reason, and only in very rare circumstances, a scientific civ will occasionally receive an alternate free tech.
From my own experience, I can rule out either cheapest or most expensive tech available (based on editor cost), and am also pretty comfortable ruling out cheaper or more expensive trade costs techs.
