I found this at http://www.dailyradar.com/columns/game_column_637.html
This must be what the rest of cyberspace thinks of TBS games.
It's Called Andrew's Views: Future Shock, and details his view of the future. Anyways, it made me laugh:
2011-2012: John Carmack is worshiped as a god in 85% of the world. Sid Meier's Chess is released. It's like any computer version of the classic turn-based board game yet indescribably better and much more replayable. It really has that "just one more turn" feeling. Sid begins work on Sid Meier's Tic-Tac-Toe, which, sadly, won't have a multiplayer component. Someone finally makes a damn Lord of the Rings game. It is also learned that Mishima burgers are made from people. From people!
