First of all, here in Italy time (GMT+1) it's already Christmas, so I wish you the best, for all of you.
But it's not my use to make OT post without some kind of "lifesaver" argument, so I'm trying to link here a real minor proposal for Civ 3.
In real life some events (historical relevant birthday or great achievement) are celebrated every year or every hundred years. The former is impratical in Civ for obvius reason, but how do you think of the latter as a "calendar" of historical events celebrated that turn?
Let me explain: supposing you build a great wonder or achieve a "minor wonder" (if they'll be implemented) as the discover of a main continent in the year (game time) 1610 A.D. you can suppose that in the year 1710 A.D. someone will celebrate the event (that year only) gaining some limited bonus (two more happy citizen for that turn, or a bit more money).
Prerequisite should be The Calendar "tech" discovered or, if the celebration is related to a religion event, at least matching the year of Religion (politheism, monotheism, etc.) discovered, if a better religion model will miss the Civ 3 boat.
Reply and better ideas are welcommed, also if every one know that was only an excuse to fit this post here passing a deserved reprimend by the moderators
Merry Christmas again.
