  • Can civs return from the dead?

    Just curious: once you eliminate a civ from the game, can its cities ever culture flip and reintroduce the civ?

    I believe that is not possible. When you conquer the last city of a civ, you are no longer at war. If a city would change back to it's original owner, what would the situation be like then? War, peace, try again, abort?
    I'm not a complete idiot: some parts are still missing.

      AFAIK they can't. But Civs can respawn if the elimination happens early.

        I'd think war. The best real-world example would be the Greeks, who culture-flipped in 1837, 350 years after being eliminated by the Ottomans. Anyway, glad it can't happen here; thanks for the info.
