Persoannly I like the idea of bringing world unity, like they are trying to do to Europe at the moment, this could make an interesting victory.

More than bringing it -- maintaining world unity should be possible end scenario.

SMAC IS based on Civ's endgame; in Civ II you build a spaceship to go to Alpha Centauri!

"You" is the key word there. In SMAC the U.N. built it and I am addressing how that will fit in in Civ II.

Hell, that's a game all in itself .

Maybe you should have to build the most of the unity. All nations can build components of the unity (i.e. the one ship) and whichever civ has the greatest percentage of components, wins.
