  • Domination - the victory I didn't see coming....

In my last game I tried something I've never tried before. I was a chinese warmonger. Oh my god, this was easy... on regent. I had modern armours before anyone else had infantry (talk about tech lead...)

In this game I had a war against every opponent, in this order:
France, India, France (eliminated), Greece, Iroquoise, England, Iroquoise (eliminated), America.

Some of these wars took place simultaneously...

Notices about the chinese: the rider is a superb unit!!! With the movement of 3, it outruns every unit in it's era. It's magnificent. And the Militaristic attribute really kicks in, when you get the heroic epic. Once I got 2 leaders in one turn (the firs one I used to rush-build palace).

Now here's a picture of my empire in year 1838, when I started the last war of the game against the americans.
The black circle is my original capital. The red circle is my forbidden palace. The blue circle is my newly rush-built palace.

In this picture (twenty years from the previous pic), the game is over. I destroyed the americans in ten turns. The opposition was barely notable...

Oh, and one funny coincidence about this game...

The first leader i got was Sun Tsu - and I used him to rush-build the Sun Tsu's the Art of War...

It usually does, the AI seems to know though. 2 turn before I won by domination the americans abused a ROP and destroyed 20(!) workers during their turn. He failed in taking any cities though. The following turns I conquered 1(!) city and had about 10 border expansions in newly conquered cities. That must have given me enough territory to reach 66%.
