I got 2 cities, and between them there are a patch of iron, but none of these two cities cover so that the iron are inside there radius, still its inside my border, how do I get that iron, I dont want to build anoter city in the middle, cause that just makes it bad

If it's in your cultural borders, just build a road to it.

Build a temple. Then build a road.

It doesn't have to be within your city's working radius to be available to you- like badams said, build a road from a city to the resource.

            Hipshot:

King, Badams, and Playa are right all you need is a road, also be aware that your trade advisior will only show you resources that are hooked up. Of course, if the iron is not in the city radius you cant get the production from the tile but you still get the benefit of the resource.

To expand cultural borders in case the iron isn't inside them.

Are both sources connected to the capital? I beleive (but am not 100% positive) you can only trade resources that are connected to the capital. Therefore, the outlying cities may be able to use the iron to build swordsmen, etc but if the road is broken or something between one of the resources and the capital then you can't trade them. I'm getting a bit redundant and saying the same things over and over ( ) so I'll quit now. If this doesn't help then I'd probably need a screen shot of your empire and/or a save game to get other ideas of what could be the problem.

I was thinking it was time to create a "colony", but Albert B has the clue, there is no matter if your cities are connected to the source, it must be connected to the capital to be used.

Remember that connect a city to a source or to another city means build roads. This is a silly thing but who knows?

It need only be connected to a city for that city to use it. It must be connected to your capitol if you want to trade it.

If you go to your trade advisor (F2) you should see your aggregate resources available to yuor capitol, and therefore available for trade, along the top of the screen. Any cities (and their locally-available resources) that are not connected via trade route (road / harbors with necessary tech / airports) will be listed under "Unconnected Cities" or something similar, in the center of the screen to the left of the potential trading partners list.
