  • To all Americans here!!!

NOTE TO Andz83: Rather than just deleting your thread entirely, I am keeping it here as a record. Both the language used here and the unfounded insults will not be tolerated. Consider another site if this is how you plan to contribute.

Listen, mateys! There was a time period called Middle Ages!!!

Perhaps you already heard of it on TV or so...

That era lasted from AD400/500 - AD1450 (appr. figures)

It was an important age! Many social and technical evolutions fit into that age!

So, if you're planning to make a list of ages/eras, please don't present ANY [deleted by moderator] like the following anymore!!!:

    Stone Age
    Bronze Age
    Iron Age
    Industrial
    ...etc...

    !!!

I know that it's very hard for Americans to accept that there was actually a time before they became such a spuerpower, but it's still a fact!!! [deleted by moderator]
    models like

    ancient
    classical
    middle ages
    renaissance
    industrial
    etc.

are WAY more sensible! I really don't see why you guys always have to correct it editing out the middle ages!

it's like in CTP, where the era after the ancient era is the renaissance! what a huge load of [deleted]!!!

"However, any comments, ideas and proposals welcomed! Just don't insult me, that's the only rule!"

You are breaking your own suggested rule of conduct, Andz83. If above is not an insult, i dont know what is. Other then that, you are of course correct about not leaving out the middle ages.

        NOTE:Excuses don't impress me--moderator.

actually it wasn't meant to be an insult, but I was really pissed , therefor my rude and harsh language...

also, I didn't make any mistakes of stupidity as far as I know, nor have I ever been told of my mistakes there before... but that some guys here just don't want to twig that there's more than only the American Age as they like to call the last decade, has been a curse of this board since ages... I came here in March, and the first I encountered was total uneducated guys posting the same crap over and over again. and that is indeed a difference

again, that's not an insult, it's enragement. no, it's not an insult made out of enragement either

also, you're only jealous because you don't know how to circumvent the censor (smileys!)

This is rude. Remember, it's just a game. No need for the language.

Makes no difference. That was still rude.

The American history goes back to 1520. But that doesnt mean that they dont have any history prior to 1520 - after all, nearly all of them have ancestors many generations back, from middle age>renaissance>19:th century Europe and from other parts of the world.

So i dont understant why americans in general dont regard the middle age/renaissance history as, just as much *their* history as well.

Anyway, just include above ages in Civ-3 - or at least one of them. (preferably both)

I think what he means by 'Americans' is anyone who does not know about or forgets to mention the middle ages. Not all Americans don't know about the middle ages, we just might forget or overlook them. easy to do when listing the ages as stone, bronze, iron, etc. as the middle ages don't necessarily have a 'metal' linked with them.
And it's not just Americans that do that, so don't get caught up in 'Americans' forgetting about the middle ages.

Don't think of these questions as an American offended by the remarks. Disregard the address. It's only temporary and was forced.
