strange forest icon
In my Civ three with play the world installed I noticed one of the forest's in the game I'm playing has the name AMANDA writen accross it.

You are right, it does say Amanda. Amanda is Nick's (the Civ3 terrain artist) daughter.
In the standard tile set, one of the forests in the tundra forest.pcx file does indeed say Amanda in yellow. It is in the almost never generated tundra deciduous trees.Seemingly Benign
