  • Does the AI start wars in order to generate leaders?

    Its clear that the AI will now use leaders effectively in order to rush-build wonders. I've noticed a trend though, with 1.29 and PtW, that the AI seems to start or join in wars during times when there is a race for a wonder. It seems to me that this is a little unbalanced in that world peace goes to world war in the rush to build a wonder.

    I doubt that leader generation is the reason the AI has been jumping into wars in your games. I doubt it, but that doesn't make me right. The only way to know is for Soren to say "yay" or "nay."

      Well its something I've noticed about the timing but since I dont get to play many games it could be an aberration. It would make sense though.

      -> building wonders is a priority
      -> use leaders to rush wonders
      -> generate leaders with war
      -> declare war on weaker nation

      Its what players would do to rush a wonder and Soren has shown that his AI uses the same strategies that we do, but to extremes i.e. city expansion.
