  • what do you want from civ3 site?

    Since Firaxis is currently preparing to put up the official preview site for civ3, I was wondering what was the most important bit of info that you are hoping to get from the site.

    For my part, I am really curious what the social model in civ3 will be like. Will civ3 keep governments as in civ2 but make the model more realistic, or will civ3 use an improved SMAC style SE model instead?
    'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.'"

    I'd like screenshots and lots of 'em. Plus some other information as well, of course.

      Of course we all want screenshots!
      I meant in terms of a specific area of civ (ie: diplomacy, SE, economic , military etc), what info would like to know about the most?

        Civ3 info...

        I'm serious! There's been so little info that anything at all would be nice!

          Fine then. I'd also like info on the military systems, as well as how realistic the game is (in strategical and tactical terms), especially for the ancient period. I'd also like to know which civs will be included.

              I'd like to see some of the peripheral "small stuff" so to speak. A city view model, the tax model, the top five cities, etc. Its these things that give Civ a solid foundation to build its important models upon.

                    Obviously;
                    1)Some "graphics" from the interface.
                    2)Units low-down and count-down.
                    3)Techno-mumbo-jumbo tree.
                    4)AI new powers, ZOC limits and "Attack" model.
                    But... most of all, don't take all the fun away from me; tease me a little.
