  • At what size does a town become a city?

Also, when does a city become a metro?

I read somewhere that it's only when your town becomes a city, that you begin benefitting from the less corruption of a commericial civ, etc.

Do you have to advance to the second age to get cities?

Just in case you feel the need, you can change these values in the editor as well.

Just to clarify: city size has nothing to do with corruption. But you do get extra shields and commerce from the center square as you reach city and later metropolis sizes. You also get a defensive bonus.

i see. i thought it said that you get less corruption in a city, i.e. the bonus doesn't kick in until a town grows into a city.
