  • Nethog's Civ3 Tech Tree & Unit Summary - Version 1.00

Well considering that Play-the-World is almost upon us I thought I better issue my Civ 3 1-pager Tech tree and 1-pager unit summary both as a version 1.0 release.

I have made *extensive* changes to the tech tree from the previous version, and several changes to the unit summary. Here is a summary of the features of the tech tree and unit summary:

    Tech Tree:
    - available as GIF, PowerPoint 2000, or PDF (PowerPoint prints the best)
    - prints on a single 8.5"x11" sheet of paper
    - lists all units (including unique units) and their stats, as well as indicates when an upgrade is possible.
    - lists all Improvements and Wonders with their Civ specific attributes
    - lists Culture points, Happiness effects, and Pollution points (all using icons)
    - shows strategic resources and required strategic resources using icons.
    - summarizes Civ abilities, starting techs, Unique units, and grouping in a mini table.

The Unit summary has the following features:
    - available as GIF, PowerPoint 2000, or PDF
    - prints on a single 8.5"x11" sheet of paper
    - units are grouped according to era, and then by class
    - for each unit the following is listed: required tech, required strategic resources, cost, ADM/BRF, transport capacity, disband amount, and notes.
    - the unit upgrade tree is shown graphically with upgrade amounts clearly indicated.
    - I have also included a defensive combat bonus table and Hitpoint/Experience summary.

The tech tree and unit summary are available on my website at:

At my site you will also find similar summaries for Civ 1 and Civ2, SMAC/X, Age of Kings, X-COM and Space Empires IV.

Well thats it - I can't wait to start working on a PTW Tech tree and unit summary!

Nice summary, though I had pretty much memorize all besides for the shield costs by now, heh. Still good to have though.

And isn't there some sort of rule against Ballz1998's spam?
