okay, I'm thinking about making a sort of RPG on civilization, however, i don't want it to be based on actual playing, just sort of an RPG, for fun. People get some land, and form their own societies, and make their own governments. It would be completely based on modern technology, to avoid people arguing over certain issues. I don't know if I want to host it on apolyton, since their are so many threads. I was leaning towards www.cjb.net. I need some support and some ideas. I would also like to have the this kind of forum structure (the vB or wtv). This is mainly just for fun. I have seen both the cvifanatics version and the apolyton one. If anyone has any ideas, or comments or whatever, feel free to post. My next thread will give you some of my ideas.

Okay, we get a civ3 version of the world map, and divide it into several areas. Some areas cost more money then others. Each person starts with X amount of money, and can purchase whatever land he choses. If a certain piece of land is more expensive then the X amount he starts with, he can get someone else to combine both of their sums, and purchase a region. they may negotiate these "mergings", however, they must tell me the administrator who is combining with whom. After that, they are on their own. They can make their own form of government, recruit people to the game to join their country. They build their 1st city (we can discuss how many people you need to build 1 city). Then, when they get people, they need to build infrastructure. 1 person might need X amount of food. We could have people who want to build fisheries. They need to actually build the harbor, so they might hire someone to build that, buy electricity, etc. They also need to buy land near the coast, where there are fish lets say. Then, they can sell their fish at whatever price they want to grocery stores. It would sort of work like this. However, in order to build a currency, you need gold, to sell diamonds, you need a source of diamonds. People can buy their food in different stores. Say we have 2 grocery stores, they choose which one has the best preices, and purchases there. These are just some of my ideas, however, I would like to hear stuff from you.
