I commented in another thread that I had flipped a capitol with the initiate propaganda espionage mission and I don’t think most of the people who read the post thought I was full of it. So having a big cultural lead over Egypt (and a healthy supply of gold) when I got the IA, I decided to try again. Take a look…

Just out of curiosity, miccofl, what mod gave you the crabs and oyster shells?"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

I'm disappointed that losing a capitol isn't any more of a setback than losing a city. Something additionally bad should happen to you like in Civ 2. You have to build a new palace somewhere or your empire could split, etc. In Civ 3 it just magically appears somewhere else. It should be disasterous to the victim. And capturing it by culture should be impossible, in my opinion.

Miccofl,
Well done on that, I have attempted to get a Capital to flip culturally by surrounding it with my cities. It just would not go.
Have you managed this when the civ had more than one city?
Are the goods in Harlans Good Mod increase to the overall number of squares with goods or are there less of each good? If there are more goods the production rates in the games must be increased?
