Disease is inversely correllated to population density, ameliorated by aquaducts and hospitals. Ditto literacy but in respect of tech improvements. So low scores aren't necessarily a bad thing if you have a big lead in population. As far as the mlitary service thing I always aim to be last place on that demographic. The lower your ratio of military to civilians the greater your tctical ability (unless you just got cornholed). I'm sure the approval rating is a mixture of your pop's happiness and other civ's attitudes toward you (probably filtered through your own pop). All the important ones are unmentioned though.Comment
