  • A question for Firaxis...

This forum has been quite active and the ideas here would suffice to create a game worthy of at least 10 CD-ROMs. It is obvious that some ideas are better than others, some would never work, while others are simply ingenious.

Any chance of letting us know what ideas are being considered for the final release, or is it still too sensitive?

    Thanx!!!

Well, Firaxis has given us some hints as to ideas that will probably be included in the game. If you look at Sid's letter, we know that minor nations, better trade, better combat with siege warfare and leaders, improved diplomacy (which hopefully includes a lot of stuff from the diplomacy summary)are probably going to make it into civ3.

What I am curious about is what civ3's social engineering will be like? How will improve from SMAC?

I know we sound pretty impatient, Firaxis, we are all at this forum just extremely excited for civ3! We love the civ genre so much!

'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.'"
