I've read a bunch of threads regarding promotion, and I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere, but I was curious if someone could provide a definitive answer. Does the technological disparity between attacker and defender affect the probability that the victor will get promoted?
e.g.: if I attack barbarians with my swordsman, and then later in the game attack barbarians with Mech Infantry, will the swordsman have a better chance of getting promoted (presumably because the fight would be too easy to warrant a promotion for MI)? [I know that attacking barb's does not gen GL's, and I know that each successive promo level is more difficult to obtain].
