As anyone made a utility to make the map flat?

unfortunatly no (not yet) ... but you can trick it by
    - making a row of mountain tiles (prevents city building)
    - additionally a water row and another row of mountains (no "unit-jumping" from one transport ship to another.

you still can't stop air-jump units (paratroopers) from passing though, except if the water channel is 8 tiles wide... but i don't usually care about that.

we all hope the next patch or more likely PtW will allow flat maps...

          Gramphos,

I tried the flat map option (latest CMT) on 1.29 and it seems to do nothing. I tested it several times and units ignore the "edges" and can still go around. Another problem with 1.29 patch is that if you "flat map" a game and do not reveal the map with the SGE then Civ3 will crash when you click on the minimap edge.
