  • HP question

Having just installed 1.21 into my game, I noticed the new HP modifer in the units area. How does the number iputed affect the combat equation? Does it mimick the old HP system or what?

It simply gives a bonus of (enter number you selected here) to whatever the unit normally would have had.

Bonus as in adding extra hitpoints, or a combat bonus?

Actually, the HP editor allows you to vary the hp a unit gets at every level of experience (on a per/unit basis).
For example, if you left your infantry at normal hp (2,3,4,5) you might decide to make tanks a bit "tougher" by giving them 4hp at regular and 5 hp at veteran, making the tanks a little harder to kill!
Although I still long for Firepower, I feel this editing ability does go some way to rectifying the problem! Of course, that's just my opinion, and others might care to differ!
