Commemorating Military Victories

I always figured it was a lot more than that, being that you can only build so many units, even with a huge empire. You have 150 units (a whole lot). 150 times 300 or so would be about 45,000 or so men. Not very many for a huge empire. 150 times 3000 would be 750,000 men. Now that's a nice army.
Of course, it's all speculation, and I can't really prove anything (just try and justify, as I did), but that's how I've always thought of it.

I was thinking it would be nice to honour the Glorious Dead with war memorials, there presence in cities would reduce war weariness and 5 memorials lets you build something big to keep all the population happy.

I like the idea that a player can build a battle memorial after winning a couple of battles in the same general area. This could be a small wonder that would help lower war weariness.

Then after building a couple of these the player could build a great wonder, something like the Vietnam War Memorial here in the United States, that would also limit weariness.
