Has anyone noticed that the AI actually tries to use the espionage/embassies more now in 1.21?
In my last game, I saw quite a few screens that I had never ever seen before in previous games.
- The AI actually established an embassy before I did. It took me forever to figure out that it worked both ways and now I did not have to pay the gold to establish an embassy.
- The AI captured my spy (no crap!) that I had while the AI (Americans) was a communist (eheheheh) government. Down with the evil godless American commies!
- The AI tried to do a propaganda campaign (unsuccessfully) on one of my outlying cities (same deal, American communist gov't).
Now, perhaps this might have might have just been a one-time feature or something that typically happens in regent-level games (yeah, I know, I suck but I am slowly adapting to Civ3 style gaming from Civ2/etc.). Any thoughts on this as to whether it is something new with the patch or has always been there?
