CD not recognized in 1.21F

I just bougth Civ3 (v1.16f), downloading patch to 1.21f and install it.

It says that he don't recognise the original CD !
If I unsinstall 1.21f and goes back to 1.16f, all is OK !!!!

What's the matter ?
