  • Add/Remove Program Entries

I just noticed this today...in my add/remove programs control panel, each patch for civ3 as well as the original game has its own add/remove selection....this is rather annoying and makes it more cluttered than it should...Civ3 is the only program I've ever seen that does this. I know I can use TweakUI to clean it up but which entries should I remove?

Good question. I wish you'd flagged this for Firaxis so that Soren or Mike would be more likely to read it and respond. Maybe you could PM Mark or Ming and ask them to edit the Thread Title.

That is a point. That's why I uninstall each patch before installing the next. Civ3 will not uninstall properly when a patch is installed for some reason, so you might want to uninstall the lot and reinstall 1.21f

Cool. Did you do that ixnay?

Or is there a benevolent god of Apolyton?

Just one more thing, must give it something to really make it stand out... Done.

[Edit] Only one thing ixnay. The thread doesn't display the FIRAXIS bit from the forum, but I guess you knew that... [/Edit]

            patch

Does any one know what happens if you install 1.21f and now you have several patches in your add/remove file. Now if you delete the 1.21f patch will the next lower # patch still be their in it's original or adjusted (changed values by me) values for the patch that is showing? This assumes one does NOT delete prior patches when installing 1.21.
