Interesting. I guess they will be put into use in one of the next patches.

You have discovered some not yet uncovered code for scenario creation?

Well, you're naming units and assigning experience levels to them. Looks like scenario creation to me. Cool.

Names on units? Would I have to know what all units in a stack are named?

This is quite cool. Whether or not it leads to scenario capability, it is still quite cool.

Heres hoping a scenario editor is coming. It does seem quite likely though.

you dont know what is "Insert Proto Name Here" for?
that is not to name units its just for hmmm.. open editor and view the governments page. you can chose type of the government and whenever you do it a groupbox changes its label to that government name(just try it - youll see what i mean) and the same things are used for civilizations eras and yes - that units too.. - that text changes into the name of thing, youve selected

anyway i found few textstrings which are probably connected with unit and city edit for example: "Edit City Properties" "Edit Unit Properties" - theyre in the undo/redo section

you say they will enable it in next patches but my question is: why did they put that in this version and not enable???

Firaxis sure does like to create subleminal messages, don't they?
However, it is difficult to believe that 2 times 2 does not equal 4; does that make it true? On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

Hey, we've had multiplayer components in the release version, so why not this?
