  • is this a bug?

    after installing 1.17 and setting standard map to 12 civs, civ3 wont start (only gets to the menu screen). had no such probs before. dell optiplex gx150

    after installing new editor, this is what i get

      Post this again this fall, when I take assembler.

      Make sure you are using the right 1.17f for the particular editer. I stayed with the first 1.17f (the one with the army/leader goody huts).

      Also, I suggest if that doesn't work, uninstall the game, then delete the civ3 folder. Then restart the computer and install again. Before you intall any patches, run the game, if it works, then install 1.16f (if you saved it). If it still works, then install 1.17f. If it works, then it must have been a currupt file. If not, then you'll to go back to the previous update (do as you did before).

      That's all the tips I could give.

        Defrag your HD. Redownload the patch. Install it.

        If that doesn't work reinstall the whole game, then the latest patch.
