  • TO FIRAXIS: Advanced Leader Concept

As many of us mentioned before, the Leader Concept offer much possibilities.

    1. Great artists: Every ???? gold invested in science triggers a % chance that you get a great artist in one of your towns. You can use it to a) build a cultural wonder (like Shakespeare's theatre), or b) merge him into town to get one happy face in all cities on the continent for 20 turns.

Note: Culture is not civilization-based as many of you think. It is better to use these effects on all civs that are in same government. Example: You get great artist ELVIS PRESLEY. He, when merged to town, generates one happy face in all cities that work under DEMOCRACY (even in other, friendly civs). In this way, it is a fusion between luxuries like diamonds, and wonders.

    2. Great scientists. Same as great artists except you can use them to hurry scientific wonders, to increase your science output for 50% percent in all cities. In this way, they work as "passing wonders".

    3. Great religious leaders. Same as great artists except you can use them to hurry religious wonders. WHen merged to town, they increase the effectivenes of temples/cathedrals for 20 turns.

I wish we had admirals too. Would love to see a fleet of subs going after my enemies

      I agree.

But naval warfare in Civ III is so lame there hardly seems a point to admirals.

Other Leaders are a good idea. But most of all we need MILITARY leaders who actually supply a combat bonus in battle, and we sadly don't have that in Civ III.
