I conquer and use cities until I've got a significant number. (I'm a communism, and English, so corruption doesn't affect me as much as it does other civs (due to communism, and the English traits.))
After that, I just blitz my tanks through the enemy cities, razing any I take so I don't have to waste forces defending them, unless they are important strategically (such as on an Isthmus.)
As for the AI not liking my razing cities, screw diplomacy, everyone is at war with me anyways. I'm just burning the AI civs to the ground for being so foolish as to declare war on me. (And I have a special hatred for the Japanese now, since they had a significant chunk of my empire conquered after a 50 or so year war before I began to push them back... They are now reduced to something like 1/10 of the continent, and they are losing more rapidly.)
I'm fighting a 2 front war right now, against the two powers who have the top two positions score wise. They were also the most powerful militarily, but my English Communist Empire is crushing them rapidly by producing tanks in nearly every city with Mobilization set to War-Time.
