Help!!

Hi There, I'm looking for a Mod'ers assistance here.

Before starting my last game, along with my extensive edits to the game, I added 4 new Improvements/Wonders , Wembley Stadium(Great Wonder),Football Stadium(City Improvement),Emporer's Summer Home(Second Forbidden Palace),Prince's Retreat(Third Forbidden Palace available with Monarchy only).

I simply added these with the Copytool, and then changed the required perimiters in the Editor, I did not alter the Civlopedia or pediaicons.

Unfortunatly when Manchester Builds the Prince's Retreat, it crashes the game. I figured this could be to do with Several Causes

1.No Wonder Splash
2. No Icons
3. Some wierd problem with Govt. Buildings??????

I have since opened my Pediaicons and notice at the end of City Improvemnents section there are some 'homeless icons' , wtf???

Can anyone shed light on what i have to do to sort this error, and can i continue with my current game once i've made the changes.

The problem is with the pediaicons.txt file, in the wonder splash area at the very bottom of the page. The wonder you've created gets listed along with the rest of the improvements in the Bic file, and it is given a number in pediaicons.txt corresponding to it's order in the list. If the numbers don't match up, the game will crash as soon as the wonder is built. You're probably using an older version of CopyTool. Gramphos had the numbering wrong, he was starting new improvements at #75, when it should have been #74. So since it's off a bit, your game will crash if there isn't a proper entry for it in pediaicons.txt. Just download the lastest version, he's fixed that problem now.

I have a pretty new version of Multitool, and also, is there way i can sort the problem WITHOUT having to start a new game???

The last three Battlefield Medicine's are ones that I added to try and solve the problem.. but these numbers are in the 60's anyway, not 70's

You're forgetting the Spaceship parts, they have a number in the list as well. Any new improvements always start at 74. You have to consider the other improvements in the list as well, not just the Wonders. They don't appear in the pediaicons.txt, but they still have a number assigned. I was having the same problem as you for the longest while, but now that I've figured it out, it's working just fine.

Don't thank me. I was having the same problem until I read Plutarch and Gramphos mention what the cause was. I couldn't figure out what those numbers did, so I did the same thing as you, number my first wonder 64.
