  • AI Settler/Military stacking?

I'm a relative newbie to Civ3 and have been trying to figure out how the AI manages to stack a settler with a military unit every time. I have been able to accomplish this with a spearman/settler by building the spearman first then the settler in the same town and sending the spearman to the same place as the settler (they move at the same speed) My major puzzlement comes when I see the Iriquois with a horseman and a settler moving together.

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide

You could just move the horseman 1 square at a time, using only it's 1st movement point each turn...

The AI doesnt seem to be moving them manually. They appear to be moving stacked.

The AI moves each unit seperately.
Even the stack movement we have since the 1.17f patch is just a command to move each unit, one at a time, automatically. The game cannot move 2 units simultaneously.

Basically, if you want a military escort for your settlers, you need to move them both seperately.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).
