  • A comical example of "aggressive trading" gone too far

I had to crop a little too much to get it to fit, but you get the idea.

Speaks for itself. No tricks done.

Can you actually afford 800 gold/turn? If you can't the AI will not accept the deal.
I like CIV 3's corruption, combat system, cultural assimilation and AI.

Are you earning more than 800 gold per turn? If you offer more gold per turn than your current income, the AI will "never accept such a deal."

The reason it says "They would never except such a deal" is because you put forward a deal you can't afford.

As soon as you start suggesting deals you can't afford, the response from the AI immediately goes to "They would never except such a deal"

Try something you can afford and i bet their responses get closer to accepting...

Plus maybe they just don't want to give you their World map?

England does usually have the best (read: most expensive) maps on the planet...

              I can vouch for that.

Why do i say that? Find that out for yourself...
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.
