Precision bombing

Can someone explain to me how precision bombing works? I can't seem to get my aircraft to do it.

You need a Stealth Bomber, Stealth Fighter or an F-15 and the tech "Smart Weapons".

Then select one of these and press the button at the bottom of the screen or press P.

When i do that it just seems to bombard like a normal bombardment. And yes, do I have the 1.17 patch.
